Why I Study DevComm?

What i understand about Dev Comm is that this is a way of communication to reach and educate the people below the poverty line to improve their lives. New ideas and skills will be taught to them through seminars or through the media.Being an instrument in transforming poverty to a dynamic state of economic growth is a noble task.Being in this field of profession will upgrade my knowledge on how to reach and educate the people below the poverty line and at the same time this will qualify me to a higher level of professional experience.

New technology in communication nowadays will make life easier specially in the business sector because messages and instructions are relayed faster.Using wireless communication like cellphones, the newspapers,radio and televisions are the mediums of information.It makes information more accurate,especially for typhoon warnings and other calamities.In the field of agriculture,this will give the farmers an easy access of information of ideas and skills in improving their techniques in farming.

Disadvantage of the new technology in communication nowadays facilitates cyber crimes and easy access to pornography.Also, unemployment will be a problem because lesser need for human resource taken by modern gadgets, loss of human emotions(sensitivity and sentimentality) brought about by written greeting cards received on special events like birthdays and Christmas and the likes. Conclusion- no worry though for all this lead to growth and development for as long as the right values are deeply inculcated in a manner expected from a man who needs to survive and be able to exist in a world of modern times, three is no reason to abhor and not give thanks to all these modern technology, yes indeed.
